always stay at contemporary two bedroom suite....thinking of four seasons but further away and 30 day fast past instead of 60....thoughts

    Hi Julie,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am so excited that you are planning a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort!

Disney's Contemporary Resort Hotel is our family's favorite resort hotel for many reasons. As you have mentioned, you would have the ability to make your Fast Pass+ selections 60 days in advance if you were to stay at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel. Given your time frame, you are already a little closer than that. We probably love Disney's Contemporary Resort Hotel the best because of its proximity to Disney's Magic Kingdom theme park. Being able to catch the Resort Monorail or walk to Magic Kingdom saves us hours in transportation time.

We also love that Chef Mickey's and California Grill are located at the resort. Our girls adore dining with Mickey and Minnie Mouse and the gang at Chef Mickey's. And we all love dining at California Grill,  atop Disney's Contemporary Resort, during the Happily Ever After fireworks show. The views are spectacular, the food is delicious and the service is superb.

Having said that, if you do not plan to spend much time in the parks, perhaps staying at the Four Seasons hotel would better fit with your budget and plans. Since we hit the parks almost every day of our trip and still love the rides and attractions, we always stay at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel now. We love the benefit of having access to Extra Magic Hours and being able to make our dining reservations 180 days in advance for the entire week of our stay.

Julie, I know you will make the best decision for your family!

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
