I have always dreamed of going to WDW and my dream is coming true! Someone we know is giving my family a trip to WDW!!! The only down fall is that it is just for 1 day.My question is where should we go? I know we can't do everything. I have 10 & 5 yr s

I can tell you that I'm getting all choked up as I read your excitement for your upcoming Walt Disney World trip. I'm so thrilled to hear that your dream is coming true!!

On my first trip to WDW, (many moons ago) one day was all a family needed to see everything at WDW. Now, when a family only has one day to visit, I absolutely recommend spending your valuable vacation time in the Magic Kingdom.

The Magic Kingdom is the place for families to make memories together whether they are young or young-at-heart. Both of your children will find plenty of attractions to enjoy! I would read about the Magic Kingdom and be sure to see your favorite attractions. Skip anything that doesn't really interest you.

Arrive the gates prior to park opening time. Be there about 30 minutes ahead of time so you are in a good spot to see the park's welcome show and to be ahead of the crowds. You'll get a lot of things done in the morning so hustle to your top attractions. You can slow down after lunch.

Stay until park closing. In fact, stay until after park closing time. Once the attractions close, sit and have an ice cream while the crowds clear out. Take your time strolling out and admiring Main Street U.S.A. There's no need to rush out.

I hope your dream vacation brings you a lifetime of memories!
