We have always done deluxe plan. Looking at 2013 plans and need help with prix fixe...what does this mean? What are the main differences with the new plans?

Hi, Amy!  Prix Fixe means, basically, that the meal is a fixed price for the entire meal.  At some Walt Disney World restaurants, the prix fixe meals include an appetizer, entree, and dessert, some may have another course as well.  On the dining plan, there is a surcharge for prix fixe meals that varies by restaurant, but is generally around $5 - $7 per person, per meal.

The biggest differences in the various dining plans is the meals that you get.  The quick service dining plan provides you with two quick service (counter service) meals, a snack, and a refillable mug.  The standard dining plan gives you one quick service and one counter service meal per day, plus a snack and a mug.  The Deluxe Dining Plan is pretty extensive.  It gives you your choice of three quick service or three counter service meals each day, plus two snacks each day.

I hope this clears up some of the confusion!  Have fun planning!
