If I have already purchased my WDW package and we are coming Dec 14th, is there a deadline to purchase my airfare. For some reason I think I remember my Disney rep telling me the flight has to be booked a couple mths in advance, how true is this?

    Hi Dashua!

Booking a Walt Disney World vacation during the holiday season is sure to ensure special and magical moments for you and your family.   The decor and the feeling of the holidays will envelop you the moment you step off that Magical Express bus!

The only time airfare would come into play with your WDW vacation would be when booking Magical Express.  ME, as it is known, is the shuttle which takes guests from Orlando International Airport to the front door of your resort.  With ME, you need to book airfare at least 45 days in advance in order to receive your luggage tags in time for your departure.  In this way, ME is already aware of your flights and can prepare their staff and documentation accordingly.

If you are not using ME, then you can potentially book your airfare days in advance.  There are plenty of times where guests make last minute reservations, and airfare is not a factor.

Hope this helps you plan your magical vacation!
