    Ashlyn Asked

Aloha again, we were planning to visit DL on Saturday, June 1 and visit CA on Sunday, June 2. But I heard that DL is busiest on a Saturday and CA is busiest on a Sunday, is this true? Should we reverse those plans to do CA on Saturday and DL on Sunday?

    Hi again, Ashlyn!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thanks for the great question. For a portion of the year, the busiest day of the week at Disneyland Park tends to be Saturday. However, during the spring and summer months, Sundays are usually the busiest day of the week at the Disneyland Resort (particularly Disneyland Park). This can likely be contributed to the calendar of blockout dates for Deluxe and Southern California Annual Passholders. Nearly every Saturday from March to August is blocked out, whereas Sundays are not, which contributes to the heavier crowds later in the weekend.

While both parks will likely be busier on Sunday, I have found that the difference is most noticeable at Disneyland Park. I would recommend visiting that theme park on Saturday and Disney California Adventure Park on Sunday.

I hope this helps, Ashlyn. Please write back with more questions as you continue to plan! I enjoy hearing from you.

    Wishing you magic,
