My almost 3 yr old is tall for his age, 41 inches. Will we have a problem getting him into parks since he doesn't require a park pass? Also will he be able to do the larger rides with heights requiring 40 inches since he's close in height? He loves a thril

    Hi Brandy!

I have been in your shoes, rather my son has been in your son's shoes.  He's tall for his age and I had this exact question when he was still a "freebie" under 3.  I have never had an issue getting him through the gates when he was 2 years old.  I have even asked several gate Cast Members if I need to start carrying a copy of his birth certificate or his passport and they said no, they will not question you unless your child looks ridiculously old for 2, so you shouldn't have a problem.

Attraction safety and rules are the most important thing at Walt Disney World.  If your child is 41 inches, then he will be able to ride all the attractions that are 40" and under.  If there is any hesitation that he is not quite 40", they will not let him ride.  I had a Cast Member run a park map between my son's head and the height stick and because it was able to pass through, we were not able to ride on Star Tours.

    Have a magical day!
