Are you allowed to bring food and drinks into the park?

    Hi Julie,

Absolutely! Walt Disney World guests are welcome to bring snacks, drinks or even meals into the theme parks. You'll just need to follow a couple of rules: No outside alcohol is allowed, and glass containers should be avoided unless they are small jars for baby food. Any bags, including those that contain food, are subject to search at the theme park security entrances.

If you bring a stroller, I recommend you tuck drinks or food items that need to be kept cold into a small cooler (the size that holds six cans is perfect) into the storage basket underneath. Otherwise, I'd tuck items into a backpack or tote.

You don't want your bag to be too heavy or cumbersome to carry all day. You can take advantage of the lockers located at the front of each park, but you may not want to walk back to the lockers every time you want a snack or drink.

Please note, too, that you can ask for a free cup of ice water at counter service restaurants throughout the theme parks. That saves money and keeps you hydrated, which is important.

I usually limit my snacks to something simple, such as fruit or protein bars and a water bottle. I've seen other people pull out food ranging from small snacks to a loaf of break and jar of peanut butter to a fully cooked hot meal. You can decide what works best for your family.

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Julie. I hope that helps you make your Walt Disney World vacation plans. Please let us know if we can do anything else to assist. We love sharing our experiences with other Disney guests.

    Enjoy,

    Wilma
