    Hi Gina!

There's no such thing as a silly question and I'm thrilled you came to me! I've found that doing my research and planning ahead is the best way to travel with a special needs child. Taking a nurse to help out and reduce the stress level is a great idea. Its always good to have an extra set of hands and vacations are supposed to be relaxing.

I'm not sure what type of special needs your youngest has but I'll give you some food for thought on Kidani Village and Old Key West that will hopefully help you make your decision. If your little one has mobility issues, I'd go with Kidani Village since they have a zero entry pool. If sensory issues are at hand, its a quieter resort. Its further away from the theme parks and doesn't have as much of a theme park feel to it. You can't see animals at any other resort like you can at Kidani Village. When I come to Disney with my family, we drive and love the covered parking at Kidani Village. This is just an overall very peaceful and relaxing resort.

Old Key West offers a more festive atmosphere. Its great being able to take a water taxi to Downtown Disney. If your little one needs a break for awhile, it would be convenient for you to take your two older ones over to do some shopping or have lunch. Its closer to the parks except for Animal Kingdom. This resort offers fishing, bike rentals and pedal boat rentals that your 12 & 7 year olds may enjoy.

If you have any special room requests, be sure to ask for them. Keep in mind that they are requests and aren't guaranteed. My son used to have a hard time adapting to a different sleeping environment and I stressed out thinking he would disturb other guests so we requested a ground floor room. We also request a bedrail each trip. I was pleasantly surprised at the options available for us.

Please feel free to visit with any other questions. I'm hEAR to help!

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison
