Hi Allison. I'm curious about the policy on waterslides at Disney pools. My son has some slight mobility issues and loves waterslides yet he can't really handle the landing on his own. Can parents go down the slides in tandem with the child?

    Hi Debbie,

I totally understand having a child that loves waterslides but isn't able to go by himself.  I have found that the policy for the waterslides at Disney is like those at most other places and only one Guest at a time is allowed on the waterslides.  Disney is a great place for Guests with special needs but I know that safety always comes first.  Its still hard on a Mother's heart to see our kid's disappointed.

I would suggest speaking to the Head Lifeguard on duty to see if they can offer you any solutions or fun alternatives for your son.  There have been times that the Pool Activities Director made my son feel special and let him help out with some of the games.  He had a great time and forgot about the slide for a little while.

Please feel free to visit again with any other questions.  We're hEAR to assist you!

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison
