Hello Allison! Are you able to go to Guest Relations and get a DAS Card before rope drop? I don't want to miss out on shorter lines in the morning, especially because I'm staying off-site and will be coming during a very busy time of year. Thanks!

    Hey Danielle ~

As the Mom of a special needs child, I know planning ahead can make things run more smoothly. Often times they do start letting Guests enter theme parks before the parks open but will hold Guests behind ropes at certain points until the official park opening. For example, at Epcot, they usually let you past Spaceship Earth but won't let you enter The Land to head to Soarin' until the park opens. If you're heading to the Magic Kingdom, Guests who want to experience Let The Magic Begin can usually enter the park about an hour prior to the show.

Guest Relations locations are usually open whenever Guests are in the parks. If this still holds true when you travel next summer, you should be able to enter and request Disability Access Service (DAS) with a short wait time. Disney keeps us on our toes and things can always change but I would plan to arrive an hour before park opening especially since you're visiting during a peak season.

DAS will be linked to your MagicBand. They will need to link everyone's MagicBand in your party as well so that they can all enter an attraction with you. Once you obtain DAS, you can go to an attraction and see a Cast Member at the entrance to get a return time to come back and enter the Disney FastPass+ service queue. Your DAS return time will show up in your My Disney Experience so be sure to download the My Disney Experience mobile app prior to your trip. You can only obtain a DAS return time for one attraction at a time but can get another DAS return time as soon you have enjoyed the attraction. DAS can be used in addition to your Disney FastPass+ service selections.

I'm limited in space but please feel free to visit again with all your planning questions. I'm hEAR for you!

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
