On an Alaskan cruise how dressed up at night do the adults get? If it is cold on the outside decks, what is the temp inside? What to pack, only long warm pants, for 5/25/15???? Thanks for your answers.

    Welcome aboard, Jeanne!

The Alaskan voyage onboard the Disney Wonder is by far the most unique Disney Cruise vacation that my family and I have taken. The beauty and serenity of Alaska is jaw dropping - not just for the adults, but also for the kids. I would actually catch myself just mesmerized looking out from the deck. You're definitely in for such an amazing voyage!

It does get cold outside when you're on the deck, so plan on packing layers. During the day, temperatures could be in the 50's or cooler, but a breeze can easily make that feel much colder. The evenings are definitely brisk and you'll want to make sure you've got a warm jacket on when you take a stroll up on the deck after dinner.

For your dinner attire, you'll want to be comfortable and dress the same way that you would dress up, if you were heading out to a nice restaurant when you're home. For formal night (optional dress up), we had a good amount of guests get glammed up and fancy. It was a great time for pictures. You'll see most guests dressed in cruise casual attire every night -- but there were not very many people in shorts, unlike what you see in the warmer weather cruises. Since Alaska is much colder, guests will usually cover up more - and also pack more accessories (hats, gloves and scarves). I used my Ugg boots a lot during this voyage and I was comfy & cozy. I would suggest packing long warm pants for sure and long sleeve tops during the day. For the evenings, since you might just be inside, you can plan on bringing something dressier for dinner - especially if you choose to dine at Palo.

My luggage was bulkier for Alaska - but I was glad to have packed layers for the family. It does warm up during the day, then cools down all of a sudden... so I felt we were prepared well. Check your port adventures too - there are some where you need to prepare for colder weather.

Hope this helps, Jeanne! Have a spectacular voyage!
