Can we do airline check in while on the ship? We usually go to WDW after our cruises (our 7th Disney cruise), but we have to go home after our next one in September. Hope to be able to check in at 24 hrs prior to get better boarding spot. thanks

Welcome aboard, Karen! Seven sailings with Disney Cruise Line must mean that you've come to know the legendary service, amenities, and entertainment that only sailing with Disney can offer!

I'm sorry that you won't be able to include a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort after your next cruise, but the good news is that you can take advantage of the Onboard Airline Check-in program if you have purchased Disney Cruise Line ground transfers. This convenient service allows guests to skip the hassle of carrying your bags, and waiting to check in at the airport. If you tell the Cast Members as you check in for your cruise prior to boarding at Port Canaveral that you'll be participating in this service, you will receive your boarding passes and luggage tags the in your stateroom the day prior to disembarkation. Just leave your bags out the night before you disembark as usual with the correct airline tags, and you won't see them again until you arrive back at your home airport. It couldn't be easier!

I should let you know that only certain airlines participate in this service: AirTran, Alaska, American, Continental, Delta, JetBlue, Northwest, United and US Airways. If you're flying another airline, you will need to collect your bags at the baggage area in the port terminal before you proceed through customs and then check in at the airport. If you happen to be flying Southwest, many guests simply purchase the Early Bird Check-In that Southwest offers, so that's always an option too, and though you'll still have to collect your bags at the cruise port, you will have secured a better boarding spot for the airline. I believe Southwest charges $12.50 for this.

I hope those details help as you look forward to setting sail again with Disney, Karen! Let me know if I can help with anything else before you set sail!
