Ahoy DMP! My extended family has decided to go on a Disney Cruise in December 2020. We will be a party of 7 adults and 3 kids, and require three staterooms. I have only seen options for 2 adjoining rooms. Is that the max, or can you book 3 adjoining rooms?

    Ahoy to you, Amanda!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  I am so glad you sailed by with your question about planning an upcoming Disney Cruise Line vacation!  I love that you are planning way ahead for what will be a magical and memorable adventure at sea!  I am anxiously awaiting the Winter 2020 itinerary release, as I am sure you are too!  I always recommend booking your cruise as early as possible as I have always found you get the best rates by doing so!  Plus, you will get a better selection of staterooms to choose from!

Traveling with family will be so much fun!  Just a few months ago my sister, her family and my parents joined my family onboard a Disney Cruise Line ship and we had the best time!  My boys loved playing with their cousins onboard and my parents outdid us ALL with their Pirate Night costumes!  Since there is so much to do onboard, it’s great traveling with others because you can do as much – or as little – as you want together!  There is truly something for everyone to enjoy!

Unfortunately, there is not the option to book three adjoining staterooms onboard any of the current Disney Cruise Line ships.  If you definitely want to have adjoining rooms then I would recommend booking two connecting rooms and the third either across the hall or next door to the other rooms.  This keeps you right by one another, with easy accessibility!  Personally, we opted to not have adjoining staterooms and even when traveling with a group this did not cause any issues.  We were right by one another and used the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app’s chat feature to send messages to one another to make plans or locate someone!  You will find that you aren’t in your stateroom all that often but do what makes most sense for your travel party!

Keep your eyes and EARs on the Disney Cruise Line website and Disney Parks Blog for Winter 2020 itineraries and come back with any other planning questions you have!
