At what age can children ride together with out an adult or at least adult sitting behind/ in front of them? Assuming all height requirements are met? Can my son and his friend ride together with me in the seat behind them?

    Hi Mathew,

It looks like you're just a little over two months away from your visit to the most magical place on earth! That means that it's almost time to make your FastPass+ selections, which you may do 60 days in advance if you're staying at a Disney Resort hotel or 30 days beforehand if you're staying elsewhere. That's when you know your trip is really close!

As far as kiddos riding attractions, the official rule is that all Mouseketeers under the age of seven need to be accompanied on each attraction by a Guest who is 14 years old or older. In my personal experience, that sometimes means that the Cast Members want someone over 14 sitting directly next to the little ones, and sometimes they'll allow the older Guest to be directly in front of or behind them. I wish I could tell you a hard and fast rule on that so that you'll know what to expect, but with five kiddos, we've experienced attractions both ways. If you have any Mouseketeers under seven years old, the Cast Members at each attraction will be happy to help you figure out how everyone can safely enjoy the ride! If your Mouseketeers are between seven and thirteen years old, they need a Guest who is 14 or older with them to enter the theme parks, but they won't have restrictions (other than the height requirements) about where they're seated on an attraction. Once Guests are 14 years old, they may enter a theme park on their own and are certainly welcome to enjoy an attraction by themselves.

Thanks for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Mathew, and please let us know if you have any other questions as you're planning your trip. I hope that you have a truly magical vacation!
