    Me again! Thank you for your help!! How would you recomend tipping at WDW? Having never been before, trying to work on grocery budget for resort and tipping came to mind as an added expense! Also may need to ask one more ques if cant find out! 18 days!

    Jennifer,

    Glad you bring up this important point. Yes, you should plan on tipping your servers at Walt Disney World. They are like any other waiter, and deserve to be compensated for good service. Many people visiting do not take this into consideration, and find an unexpected hit to their overall trip budget. Some other important notes on tipping;

    • The Disney Dining Plan DOES NOT cover gratuities, with a few exceptions like room service, and select dinner shows.
    • Parties of 6 or more always have an 18% gratuity added to their check.

    A final tip on tipping. While most Americans are not accustomed to tipping resort housekeeping staff (except maybe on a cruise), this is a standard you should consider. At Walt Disney World they go far above the norm, creating towel characters, having some playful fun with your kids stuffed animals, etc. I typically tip $1 to $2 per day to that staff. You are certainly NOT OBLIGED to do so, but I consider the housekeeping staff here to be one of the hidden treasures of Walt Disney World, and I like to thank them. You might as well.

    I hope that these TIPS helped?

    Have a magical vacation!
