    Hello again! We have Magic Bands from 2014. Should I re-register them online or can I do this upon arrival at MK? We want to checkin at our resort later so we see the "rope drop"! Thanks!

    Hi Tracy,

    Thanks for your great question. I'm happy to help you navigate the MagicBand system so that your arrival can be as seamless as possible.

    Unless you deactivated your MagicBands after your 2014 trip, they likely are still active and ready for immediate use. (Batteries are designed to last at least two years). You can check the status by logging into your My Disney Experience account and going to the MagicBands and Cards section. It will show you a picture of the the active bands for each person on your account, including what color each is.

    If you are staying in a Walt Disney World resort on this trip, you are eligible to receive a new set of MagicBands, which will be shipped to your home before your arrival. You will find the link to customize your new bands in that MagicBands and Cards section.

    All information in your My Disney Experience account -- tickets, dining reservations, FastPass+, resort reservations -- is accessible with any active MagicBand. I have at least one active MagicBand in every available color and mix and match them, depending on my mood.
