Hi again! We love Tower of T except for the 10yr old son. Even hates the gift shop (doesn't like spooky/supernatural). What would be some good plans for him+parent w/o splitting from group for too long? We usually hang around the exit w/ ice cream. Thx!

    Welcome Back Virginia!

The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror is an incredible ride. I took a backstage tour and was able to see some of the engineering behind it and it is just unbelievable. However, I totally understand that it is not for everyone and I am one of those okay skipping it.

There is a great option available to kids that are waiting with their parents while other members of their party are riding the Tower of Terror or Rock 'n' Roller Coaster.  Head down towards the entrance to Rock 'n' Roller Coaster. On the left you'll see an area set up for kids to do a craft or color while they are waiting. There is a Cast Member there to assist kids.

While he's in that area, your son may enjoy browsing in the gift shop at the exit of Rock 'n' Roller Coaster.  They have some fun things in there and it always seems to bring back memories for parents.

There are also some cool shops along Sunset Blvd.  My boys love the Planet Hollywood Store and looking at the movie memorabilia.  Sweet Spells (candy and other delicious treats) can be found near the corner of Sunset Blvd and Hollywood Blvd. This has a bit of Villain theme to it so you may want to check it out first to see if its okay for your son.

Sometimes you can find the Citizens of Hollywood performing along Sunset Blvd in addition to Hollywood Blvd.  They are very entertaining.

Look for Hidden Mickey's. They are all over the parks and resorts. You can look for them yourself or purchase a Hidden Mickey book to assist you in your search.  You can find the book in most locations on property where they sell extensive Disney guide books.

Of course, nothing beats ice cream especially on a warm summer's day so that's always a great option.  Keep the questions coming.  We're hEAR for you!

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
