Child watching parade at Disney's Hollywood Studios

Hi again! If we land at 12:45 at MCO and are staying at AK - KV, is there any chance of getting to MK for the 3pm parade or am I dreaming? We're getting so excited!

    Hi Jocelyn,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am so excited for you!

There is certainly a chance and you have a few options that might improve those chances. First, your main variables are the actual arrival time of your flight, the time it takes you to get off the plane and to Disney's Magical Express® area and the time it takes to ride Disney's Magical Express transportation to your resort hotel. If you have to wait for one of Disney's Magical Express shuttles, your chance of making it to Magic Kingdom in time for the parade drop significantly - our shuttles from the airport have often included four stops and there is no guarantee when your resort hotel stop may be. If yours is last, you may miss the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade at Magic Kingdom - I suggest that you find a viewing spot at least 30 minutes prior to the start of the parade.

Having said this, I will add that on our most recent trip that ended a few days ago, my girls and I used the Lyft ride service quite a bit when we were pressed for time. On one occasion, we did a Fast Pass+ for Star Tours - The Adventures Continue at 11:35 a.m., jumped in a Lyft at 12:01 p.m. and were checking in for Afternoon Tea at Garden View Tea Room at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa by 12:15 p.m. We have also used the Disney Minnie Van™ Service when we needed to get to a pre-park opening dining reservation very early in the morning. If you want to save some time, you may consider making other transportation arrangements to get from the airport to your resort hotel. For us, this decision comes down to time and budget.

Jocelyn, consider your options and make the plan that fits your budget!

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
