Me again! Having trouble deciding on sing-a-long. 2 teens want to see Fantasmic, 4 yr old loves Chip & Dale! Dinner reservs conflict w 7 PM most nights. How long to get from MK to Fort Wilderness if decide to leave there early one night?

    Hello there, Vicki!

Thank you for your question!  I'm so happy to help!  It can be difficult to make everyone happy when you've got varying interests within a group on vacation, but hopefully you can come to a solution that'll make everyone happy!

To get to Fort Wilderness from Magic Kingdom, you'll exit the park and head toward the Fort Wilderness boat launch.  I'd plan 45 minutes to an hour travel time (just in case, you should be there with time to spare, but I hate being late, so I always plan an extra cushion of time)

I'm going to suggest that if possible, you split the evening, and the teens head off to Disney's Hollywood Studios to see Fantasmic! with an adult, and you and the little one head on over to Fort Wilderness to see Chip and Dale.  It's sometimes necessary to split the group, and this way could make everyone happy!  Of course, this only works if you've got another adult traveling with you.

Another option would require you to change a dining reservation, but...did you know that Chip and Dale host their own character dining experience at The Garden Grill?  We make a point of eating there each vacation, and really enjoy the character interaction.

    Have a magical vacation!
