Hi again Moms! Can you use Disney gift cards to shop and dine at Disney springs? Can they be used for your hotel resort bill and the parks?

Hi Lisa! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I’m so glad that you’re back to see us! Thanks for bringing us your question about the always useful and appreciated, Disney Gift Card.

Yes, yes and yes! Disney Gift Cards can be used to pay for purchases and meals at restaurants (that participate in the Disney Dining Plan) at Disney Springs. They can also be used toward Walt Disney World Resort hotel stays, tickets and everything that has to do with theme park purchases.

I’d like to think of it as magical currency when you visit the most magical place on earth!

Lisa, did you know that you can use your Disney Gift Cards to apply additional funds to your Disney Resort hotel account, which would cover purchases that you make with your MagicBand during your stay?

You’ll still be asked to leave a credit card, just in case you go over that amount that you’ve specified. I do have to say, I’ve done this during the last few vacations and it’s really convenient! My credit card bill is also a lot lower because I’ve been able to use up my Disney Gift Cards to cover all the vacation expenses.

If you already have a Disney Resort hotel reservation, the best way to get the process started is by calling (407) 939-5277 to speak with a Resort Reservation Specialist. Let them know you’d like to use your Disney Gift Cards to pay down your balance. They will be happy to help you!

Lisa, if you have any special occasions from here to your next Walt Disney World Resort visit, drop a few subtle hints to your loved ones about what you’d like to receive as a gift. Tell them that Disney Gift Cards never go out of style!
