Me again :) ADR for Biergarten 12:45pm Mar/28/12. Also, my Father, hubby & I have gift cards for the RPDE ride along. I think it closes at 4? Will we have time to get from lunch at Epcot to RPDE and all 3 of us ride before it closes at 4? Thanks :)

HI Lisa! It is such an honor to help you plan your Walt Disney World vacation!

To answer your question, I feel that it IS possible, even though you are cutting it close.  I would estimate lunch taking about an hour, give or take.  You will have to make your way out of World Showcase and all the way to the main entrance/exit of Epcot.  This can take 20 minutes, even when walking briskly.   You will then need to head to the Ticket and Transportation Center via monorail, which depending on how long you have to wait for a monorail to arrive, could take up to 20 additional minutes, including travel time to the TTC.

From the Transportation and ticket Center, you can catch a direct shuttle to the Richard Petty Raceway, but please keep in mind, this shuttle only arrives every 20-30 minutes, so you would need to allow time in case you just miss a pickup and have to wait for the next arrival. Travel time via shuttle to your destination is only about 10 minutes since the track is located adjacent to the Magic Kingdom Parking area.

With that being said, and if my calculations are correct,  it is possible that you will arrive at Richard Petty's Driving experience by 3:00 give or take, if you hustle, which should allow plenty of time for the 3 of you to hit the track at crazy speeds.  Please also keep in mind that the ride-along experience is first-come first-served.

If you don't feel you will have adequate travel time, or if you just want to relax and take it easy, you will be able to catch a taxi from Epcot.  Taxis are located near the resort bus stops to the left of the main entrance.  I would estimate a taxi ride would cost no more than $15 and would take less than 20 minutes.

Thanks again for your question, and here's wishing you the most magical Disney vacation EVER! -Amanda
