Any advice for the best time of day to get reservations for table service at supper? It would be great to eat supper while the rides are super busy and then to leave supper to find the lines shorter since others are going at more traditional times.

    Hi Kim,

It's nice to greet you again! Dining reservations are an absolute must so I am thrilled to know that you are planning them!

Dining reservations for popular restaurants like Cinderella's Royal Table and Be Our Guest in Magic Kingdom can be difficult to get, so be sure to secure those first. I choose dinner times based on the ages of our girls (with bedtime in mind - no one wants a meltdown during dinner) and our earlier plans in the day. So, for instance, when our girls were younger, we left the park in the early afternoon to go back to the resort and let the girls take a nap, then we returned to do dinner by 6:30 p.m.

Kim, also know that depending on the size of your party and the crowds in the restaurant, dinner service could take up to two hours at a table-service venue. So, if you want to be able to leave dinner and experience more attractions, I suggest that you make note of the evening show times and park hours. You could plan dinner for 7:00 p.m., then when you leave dinner, wait times for rides should be a little more manageable. At Magic Kingdom, check the calendar times for the Happily Ever After show. At Epcot, check IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth. At Disney's Animal Kingdom, check Rivers of Light. Finally, at Disney's Hollywood Studios, check Fantasmic! and Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular.

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
