Hi, can you take advantage of the extra magic hours if your not staying in a Disney resort? Thanks!

    Hi, Sandra!

Thanks so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I'm excited to help you plan your upcoming Disney vacation.

Extended park hours, or Extra Magic Hours, is one of the many benefits of staying at a Walt Disney World Resort. They allow on-property guests to enjoy the parks before other guests arrive.

Our family has stayed off-property before, and we always miss having those extra hours before the parks open or after it closes to enjoy some of our favorite attractions. However, if we stay off-property and want to avoid the crowds, we make an effort to get to the park as soon as it opens. So we arrive early enough to park and make it to the entrance right as the gates open for non-resort guests. This gives us the opportunity of enjoying the magic without as many people. Many of the attractions will have little to no wait when the park first opens! We love that part!

So, if we plan to go to the parks right at opening, we will choose FastPass+ times for later in the morning, use those selections and then choose more FastPass+ attractions, and on and on!

I hope this helps to make your upcoming vacation special! Please visit with us again soon!

    Happy planning!
