When in advance should you book your Walt Disney World vacation? Is three months in advance long enough?

    Hi Nicole!

There's no requirement to book any number of months in advance.  For example, you could decide to go next week and you would most likely still have a great time!  However, planning in advance does give you more options, especially for Table Service (full service) restaurants.  Walt Disney World has some outstanding dining places, and many of them are very popular.  Advanced Dining Reservations (ADRs) can be made up to 6 months in advance and a few of the restaurants will fill up close to to that!  Also, some things, like the dinner shows, put you closer to the show based on when you purchased your ticket (and if applicable, what part of the theater you asked to be seated in). I generally recommend that if at all possible, guests start planning 7 months out, but that's just a recommendation.  There's obviously no requirement to do so!

Walt Disney World Resort is the crown jewel of the theme park industry so most guests will have a wonderful vacation even without any advanced planing.  The only complaint I really hear from guests who just "show up", if they even have a complaint,  is they wish they knew to make Advanced Dining Reservations for those restaurants that looked like a lot of fun or had fabulous food.  If you just plan to do Quick Service (counter service) restaurants then planning ahead is less important.
