2 adults & 1 7yr old staying 14 nights so should get 28 adult and 14 child QS credits as part of our DDP. Q: if my daughter wants an adult meal and used one of my credits would I have to have a child's meal one day to make the numbers balance?

    Hi Jill,

A two week vacation at Walt Disney World sounds simply dreamy!  I bet you are getting excited about your upcoming trip.

I'm glad you've decided to include a Disney Dining Plan in your vacation plans.  I think you'll find many things to love about using Disney Dining Plan credits - the savings, the many restaurant options, and the flexibility!

If your daughter uses one of your adult quick service credits, that doesn't mean you will have to use one of her credits to balance things out.  You may use your quick service credits whenever and wherever you want.  You can use four or five (or more) credits one day and none the next, if you like.  So, if your daughter uses one of your quick service credits, that just means you'll have to pay out-of-pocket for a meal after all your credits have been used.  Meanwhile, your daughter will have an extra kids' quick service credit to use at another meal.  She may want to use it for breakfast or a snack.  The possibilities are endless!

During your vacation, be sure to plan the use of your credits wisely.  Spend them on the most expensive quick service meals and pay out-of-pocket only for the least expensive meals on your itinerary or when you are not in the mood for a dessert (since desserts are included in quick service meals paid for with Disney Dining Plan credits).  If you follow these tips, I think you'll find that using the Disney Dining Plan will be a great way to save money on the food portion of your vacation budget.

Wishing you and your family a magical trip!
