    Brian from NY Asked

Can adults wear Tutus (over leggings) into the parks?

Hello Brian! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

On our first trip to Walt Disney World Resort, my daughter was adamant that she get her face-painted. I planned this to coincide with Meet Tinker Bell at Town Square Theater and purchased a fairy costume before our travels.  Some of my favorite pictures from that first vacation are of my little girl frolicking through Town Square in costume and face-paint.

The Theme Park Dress and Costumes Guidelines for Walt Disney World Resort are pretty clear that Costumes may not be worn by Guests over the age of 14. There are exceptions to these rules, such as during Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party and during the RunDisney events at Walt Disney World Resort, however during regular days at the Theme Parks Guests are asked to use their own discretion and common sense.

If the tutu in question is considered inappropriate by a Cast Member (as a costume), they may refuse admittance into the Theme Park until it is removed. If you are adamant that the tutu is a part of every day, casual theme-park wear, than I recommend that you plan an alternative clothing option in the case that the tutu is asked to be removed and quietly acquiesce to any Cast Member requests.

Similar to bringing prohibited items into the Theme Parks, Walt Disney World Resort reserves the right to refuse admittance in accordance with the Park Rules and Regulations.

You could always get your face-painted!

    Have Fun!
