We have 4 adults and 1 three year old going to WDW. If 2 adults have FastPass+ reservations, can 2 adults go on the ride while the other 2 wait with the 3 year old and then use the Rider Swap to allow the other 2 to adults to ride?

Hi, Brittney!  I hope I'm understanding your question correctly!  If my answer doesn't make sense, please let us know so we can help!

Each guest must have their own FastPass+ in order to use the FastPass line at an attraction.  You cannot get two guests into an attraction with one FastPass.  So, if you have two FastPasses, and four adults wanting to ride an attraction, you will need two more FastPass+ passes.  The rider swap option would apply in this case, where two adults could ride while the other two wait with the baby; and then you could swap positions.  In order to do this in the FastPass queue, however, all four adults need to have a FastPass.

This option is also available in a regular queue as well.  You would only have to wait in line once, and using the swap option, you could all ride the attraction.

I hope this was the answer you were looking for!
