Can adults / teens ride the kids rides (Dumbo, Barnstormer, etc) by themselves or only if they have a little child with them? How late are hotel pools usually open in April (staying at AOA)? Thanks again!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Jana! How awesome you are just a couple of months away from your vacation! Before you know it, you will already be packing! Yay!

Adults and teens are able to ride any kid rides on their own as many times as they want to without a little child with them. The fun is for anybody who is tall enough to experience a ride, so they will be just fine! Besides, everyone is a kid at the Walt Disney World Resort, right?

As for the pools at Disney's Art of Animation, your best bet is to call the hotel a few days prior to your stay to find out as pool hours are always subject to change and are updated regularly. Pools operating hours may differ from one another. The Big Blue Pool is usually open between 10:00 am and 9:00 pm, and its gate will be locked for guest safety. While The Flippin' Fins Pool and Cozy Cone Pool are not gated, they do observe quiet hours as well.

I recommend you get an activities calendar during check-in to get the most accurate and up-to-date information. You'll find the times for trivia challenges, relay races, parties, movies under the stars and much more!

I hope you have an amazing at Disney's Art of Animation Resort, Jana.  Please come back with more and more questions!

    See ya real soon,
    ~Desiree

Meet the Panelist: Desiree, Peru

Hi! I'm Desiree from Lima, Peru. My family will never ever tire of visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth, even if means traveling almost 3,000 miles to do so! My husband and I love to watch the fireworks with our kids, but the best magic happens when the grandparents come along and we all feel the same age in front of Cinderella Castle! I love giving tips about different types of resorts and traveling with multigenerational groups.
