My adult daughter and I are taking my grandson to Disney World for his 7th birthday. Which rides can we ride together; which ones do not?

    Welcome BACK, Tracey!

Walt Disney famously built his theme park with the entire family in mind, including designing attractions that kept everyone together as much as possible. While you can ask the Cast Member at each attraction entrance what the set-up is like, your best pre-trip check is to click on a ride's names from the Attractions list. Once the ride's page pops up, click 'View Gallery' to see detailed attraction photos that sometimes include the ride vehicles. Some even include short video clips of the attraction in action, like Big Thunder Mountain Railroad!

Almost all boat-style attractions, stage shows, and immersive attractions feature wide rows which will comfortably fit your party: Pirates of the Caribbean, Soarin' Around The World, and Kilimanjaro Safaris come to mind.

There are attractions where two adults and one child will fit comfortably in the same row or vehicle, like Peter Pan's Flight and Under The Sea ~ Journey of The Little Mermaid. But, there are others that can fit two adults and one child depending on everyones size, like The Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh.

Most roller coaster thrill rides do have a strict limit of two-bodies-per-row, but these usually have multiple rows per ride vehicle. Even though one person will be behind the others, you'll all be in the same ride photo.

And finally, there are some attractions where you will need two ride vehicles, like Dumbo The Flying Elephant or the Tomorrowland Speedway. But personally, I love these attractions as I make my single-rider husband take pictures of my son and I enjoying our Disney Day mid-ride.

Please write back if you have questions about any specific attractions, Tracey, and We'll See You Real Soon!

PS - Make sure your grandson gets a birthday celebration button from either your Disney Resort Hotel or from any Guest Relations location.
