Mom With Kids After Run

Hello, we have ADR's in each park for the second week of Oct. 2011 (party of 4). How long should I plan for sit down meals? Is there still a wait if you show up at your reservation time? Thank you!

Hi Stephanie! With an Advanced Dining Reservation, you may have to wait a few minutes to be seated at a restaurant, but in general you won't wait more than 10 minutes or so. When my family dines at Walt Disney World, we're often seated immediately, but sometimes if we're dining at a peak time or at a very popular restaurant (like 'Ohana) we've had to wait longer. Your meals will generally take about an hour or so. I've found that service at the table-service restaurants in the parks is quicker than the signature restaurants in the resorts, where meals can last a leisurely two hours. My family is impatient so we tend to order when the server brings our drinks and we request the check when we receive dessert so our meals proceed quickly. However, if your family likes to take your time dining and linger a bit after you eat, you definitely won't be rushed.

Have a magical vacation this October! Come visit us again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions! We'd love to help!
