Got ADR 8am @ Plaza on a 9am open day during Early Morning Magic in Fantasyland, for touring advantage in Adventureland - then read with 8 or 9 summer open, all guests let in from before 8, so advantage killed. True? Or not during EMM in Fantasyland days?

Hi, Monica! I'm glad you're already thinking up some touring strategies for your summer trip! Your question is very thought-provoking, and I'd be happy to give you my two cents.

A couple of yEARs ago, Magic Kingdom Park changed its opening procedures. Now, if the Park officially opens at 9:00 AM, Guests will be allowed onto Main Street U.S.A. at 8:00 AM. However, Cast Members cordon off the Hub and walkways in front of Cinderella Castle until the Park is officially open. From what I understand, this is still the case even on mornings when there is Early Morning Magic scheduled in Fantasyland. Guests with early breakfast reservations should be able to enter the Park even before Main Street opens. Plan to be at the tapstiles along the far left entrance of the Park no later than 7:40 AM, and provide the Cast Member with your confirmation number. Arriving at The Plaza Restaurant a few minutes early and looking at the menu ahead of time might save you a few precious minutes. I'd aim to be finished with breakfast by 8:45 AM, so you can head towards Adventureland's rope drop area. I can certainly understand your priorities... those Pirates will be awaiting your arrival!

Enjoy your breakfast at The Plaza, Monica! Mickey Waffles taste even better when Cinderella Castle is your backdrop (I've hEARd the Banana Pastry Creme and Mickey Sprinkles they're served with kick it up a few notches, too)! And don't forget to tell that scallywag, Jack Sparrow, I said hello!
