We have ADR for Cape May at 7:25pm. We want to see the Jingle Bell, Bam show at 6:45 at Hollywood Studios. Will we have enough time to watch the show & get to our dining reservation? If so, how long does it take to get there and what is the best way?

    Hi Jenny,

I can't wait to see the new Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! lights, projection and fireworks extravaganza! It debuted this week at Hollywood Studios, and the previews and reviews I've seen look spectacular. The show lasts about 15 minutes. It appears some of the best views are from the Animation Courtyard area in front of the Great Movie Ride, which also puts you in a great position to move to the exit immediately.

Once you leave Hollywood Studios, you could take a water taxi to the Beach Club resort and Cape May Cafe, but that usually takes at least 30 to 40 minutes, especially if it is near closing time or the end of a big show. My family always chooses to walk instead to the Epcot resort area because it is faster and simpler. There's a wide, well-lit path that leads past Boardwalk to the Yacht Club and Beach Club. It should take you about 20 to 25 minutes to make the walk.

So, while you will be cutting it close, I think you will be able to do it. Walt Disney World restaurants normally give you about a 15-minute grace period for reservations, too, to allow you a little breathing room. Still, I would start moving to the exit the second the last firework explodes, just to be safe.

Thanks, Jenny, for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Please let us know if you have any other last-minute questions. Your Walt Disney World vacation is so close now. Enjoy!
