    Jaclyn from MI Asked

How can I add a credit card to my magic band if I’m not staying at Disney?

    Hi Jaclyn,

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Your magical Walt Disney World vacation is just days away now!

MagicBands are an easy way to access so much of the information in your My Disney Experience account -- your tickets, FastPass+ reservations, PhotoPass and more, all from your wrist. And MagicBands are reusable for multiple visits as long as they remain actively linked to My Disney Experience. (Batteries are expected to last at least two years).

Guests who are staying in official Walt Disney World resorts can also use MagicBands to make charges to a credit card they linked to their resort check-in. However, those charging privileges are not available to guests who are enjoying an off-site hotel during their vacations.

I've grown accustomed to the ease of charging with my MagicBand. So now, when we are visiting for the day or spending the night off Disney property, I get a reloadable gift card attached to a spiral wrist cord to use for charging. It gives me a convenient way to make payments, and I can keep a running tab of how much I've spent for snacks, meals and souvenirs.

The gift cards, with an assortment of designs, can even become a souvenir. Right now, for example, Epcot has adorable wrist gift cards featuring Figment for the Epcot International Festival of Arts.

Please let us know if you have any other questions during your countdown to your vacation, Jaclyn. Enjoy!
