    Melissa from TX Asked

Are there any accommodations for pregnant women?

Howdy, Melissa, and thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

First off, congratulations on your soon-to-be Mousketeer! You’re going to have so much fun celebrating your baby bump at the Happiest Place on Earth… I recommend asking a Cast Member for an “I’m celebrating!” button for you and all Guests in your group. These buttons make for an adorable picture to remember your vacation by! Just stop by Chamber of Commerce in Disney California Adventure Park, or City Hall in Disneyland Park, for your complimentary buttons.

The Disneyland Resort has compiled a list of attractions with an Expectant Mothers Advisory, so, these are the attractions you’ll want to avoid. But, not to worry, there are still plenty of super-fun attractions to be enjoyed while pregnant. For instance, you simply can’t beat the classics, like Peter Pan’s Flight and “it’s a small world,” and one of my favorites at Disney California Adventure Park, Soarin’ Around the World

When I visited the parks while pregnant, I loved taking a break on the Disneyland Railroad – it’s a great way to see the sights while also resting your tired feet! Another perfect resting spot is the Disney Animation Building. Not only is it air-conditioned, but it has the comfiest couches and benches for Guests to take a break on while enjoying popular Disney movies and songs on huge screens all around the building. It’s also home to Animation Academy, where an animator helps you learn to sketch a Character, and Turtle Talk with Crush, where you can chat live with this totally awesome turtle!

In addition to taking plenty of breaks, you’ll also want to stay hydrated in the warm California sun! Simply stop by any quick-service restaurant and ask for a complimentary cup of ice water throughout the day.

Also, if you’re in need of any special assistance, stop by one of the Guest Relations and Information Centers for additional help. Wheelchairs and Electronic Conveyance Vehicles are available for rent on a daily basis. These can be found just outside the Main Entrance of Disneyland Park, near Stroller Rentals and the Kennel.

Last but not least, be sure to download the Disneyland app – it’s a handy helper for checking wait times, finding your favorite Characters, and using Disney MaxPass. You can even mobile order food and drinks ahead of time so you can skip the lines!

I hope this information helps you enjoy a fun, stress-free visit to the Disneyland Resort!

Wishing you a healthy pregnancy, and tons of Disney magic!

Meet the Panelist: Kristin, California

Hello from sunny California! I currently live less than an hour from the Disneyland Resort, and have been an Annual Passholder for about 20 years! As a mom of three kids under the age of 7, I consider myself an expert at navigating the Disneyland Resort with little ones. My family of five can’t get enough of the magic and happiness we encounter every time we step foot on Main Street, U.S.A. I look forward to sprinkling pixie dust on your next visit to “The Happiest Place on Earth!”
