Are you able to use Rider Switch with a DAS card?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Aimee!

You can certainly make use of both Rider Switch and Disability Access Service (DAS). However, for the latter, please keep in mind that the DAS Cardholder must board the attraction with his or her party. Therefore, it is not possible to obtain a DAS return time if the DAS Cardholder is also the Rider Switch service non-rider. If the non-rider is not the DAS Cardholder, you may obtain Rider Switch and DAS return times. Also, please keep in mind you can combine both the DAS and Rider Switch with FastPass+ too.

For example, say the DAS Cardholder doesn't quite meet the height requirement for an attraction. In this this case, those riding will enter the FastPass+ queue, provided they already have FastPass+ reservations for the attraction; otherwise, they will to go through the stand-by lane. Once they exit the ride, they can join the non-riding party. Then those who remained behind with the non-rider DAS Cardholder can access the attraction via the FastPass+ queue using the Rider Switch pass that was scanned earlier at the entrance of the ride.

DAS and Rider Switch passes can be easily added to My Disney Experience accounts. To use Rider Switch service, your entire family will need to be present at the entrance of the attraction. Those riding, will have their MagicBand scanned to add the Rider Switch service return time to their accounts. It is not necessary for the DAS Cardholder to be present to obtain a DAS return time. Another member of the travel party may acquire the DAS return time. However, the DAS Cardholder must board the attraction when your family is ready to enjoy the ride.

Wishing you a magical visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!
