    Kendall Asked

In 2011 I was able to see park hrs more than 180 days in adv to start planning dining res around park hrs/events. When the 180 came up for dining I knew what to reserve. Advice in planning this out now that park hrs are exactly 180 same as dining? Thank U!

Hi, Kendall!  This is somewhat fluid.  You may find that the calendars are available a bit longer than 180 days in advance, and they really do try to have them open for guests in situations such as yours.  With the recent updates to the website, and as they try to build a schedule that will incorporate Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween party, you may see it take a little bit longer.

I would hash out a tentative game plan.  If you know you want to eat at the Crystal Palace, for example, build a Magic Kingdom day with that dining reservation in it, and then just adjust the day when the calendar comes out.

I always have a pretty good list of what I want to do at each park, including dining reservations.  Then when the time comes to actually book, I try to move my whole days according to the parks calendar.  For example, if I know I want to dine at a certain restaurant at EPCOT, I build my calendar to include a day at EPCOT with that certain dining experience.  Then if I have to move the day due to the calendar, I move the whole day - reservation and all.

    I hope that helps!
