Are we able to link Gift cards to our magic bands?

    Hello Lynn,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  We're so glad you stopped by with your question today!

I'm a huge fan of Disney Gift Cards.  Not only do they make great gifts, but I also like to buy them here and there during the year when I'm at the grocery store or Target so that I have some "fun" money saved up by the time my family's next Walt Disney World vacation rolls around.  Something else I've started doing is purchasing a Disney Gift Card for each of my sons before our vacations with a set amount for each of them.  They can then use that vacation money on any toys, snacks or souvenirs they want during the trip.  Fun for them, easy for me!

At this time, it's not possible to link Disney Gift Cards to MagicBands, but you do still have some options.  You can always pay directly for your purchases with your Disney Gift Cards, which are accepted at almost every location on property.  Another option, and one I do quite often, is to link a credit card to my MagicBand so that I can just charge everything back to my Disney Resort hotel room.  Then, when I return to the hotel each evening, I use my Disney Gift Cards to pay down that day's balance before the charges hit my credit card.  You can even set a spending limit for each MagicBand, if you'd like.

I hope that helps, Lynn, and wishing you pixie-dusted vacation planning!  Please write back if we can help answer any other questions for you.

    Have a magical day!
