    Christine from FL Asked

Am I able to use my Florida resident discount to buy a ticket for my out of state niece? She is 16 years old.

    Hi there, Christine!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Thank you for stopping by with your question!

What a wonderful aunt you are to buy Theme Park Tickets for your niece! There's nothing quite as exciting as going to Walt Disney World Resort; your niece is sure to have a magical trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth thanks to her wonderful auntie!

I am happy to tell you that you are able to use your Florida resident discount to buy a ticket for your niece, since she is under the age of 18. It will be a Florida resident discounted adult rate since she is over the age of 9. When picking up the tickets, you will need to be present and provide proof of a Florida residential address with your driver's license, a valid Florida state issued ID card, or a valid Florida based military ID. After you have picked up the tickets, you should be all set to have fun with your niece at Walt Disney World Resort!

Be sure to add your niece to your Family and Friends list on your My Disney Experience account. That way, you're both able to share and make plans, including the very important FastPass+ selections!

Christine, I hope you and your niece have the best time ever on your vacation!
