Hello, I was able to get a FastPass to do the new animation class at AK. I haven't been to the conservation station in a long time. About how long does it take to walk from where the train drops you off to the conservation station? Thank you

Hi, Cyndi! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I, too, have a FastPass for The Animation Experience at Conservation Station at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park when my family visits Walt Disney World Resort next month. After participating in the drawing tutorials at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort and the Epcot International Festival of the Arts (as well as the Animation Academy at Disney California Adventure Park), I am so incredibly excited to see what this experience will be like!

Taking a look at the walking directions in the My Disney Experience mobile app, it looks like we should expect about a 4-5 minute walk from the Wildlife Express Train station stop to The Animation Experience. The Train ride itself is 7 minutes long, and you’ll board between Kilimanjaro Safaris and the Harambe Market. So you aren’t rushed, I would give yourself at least 30 minutes to make the trip.

Please keep in mind that your 15-minute FastPass+ window for The Animation Experience is shorter than the typical hour-long window for other Walt Disney World Resort attractions, so double-check your My Disney Experience mobile app to make sure you’ll arrive within the correct time frame. The class itself will be 25 minutes long, and you’ll be able to check the Times Guide when you arrive at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park to find out exactly what time your class will start. This information should also be available within the My Disney Experience mobile app under the “Attractions” section at the top of the home screen.

Enjoy your visit to Walt Disney World Resort, Cyndi! We’ll see you real soon.
