We were only able to acquire 1 FP to FOP, for husband. Will the digital riderswap allow oldest child and myself to ride as party 2 or does the child need to be part of party 1 also? Wondering if 2-3 ppl can still use RS if there is only 1 orig FP.

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Mandy! I think you and your family are going to enjoy the newest adventures at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park!

Here’s how the new Rider Switch Service would work in your situation. Since your husband was able to make the FastPass+ selection for Flight of Passage, he would be the only one allowed through the FastPass+ line. In other words, he would be riding solo for the first round. However, when he gets to the FastPass+ line, he should tell the Cast Member he needs to use the Rider Swap Service, because you will be staying back with the kids. You and your daughter will be asked to tap your MagicBand or admission card to a sensor, storing your entitlement to your individual theme park ticket.

Mandy, yes, 2-3 people can use the service, but as far as the rules for the service go, your husband would be the only one who would ride with his FastPass+ selection. That would mean you and your daughter would be able to ride together with your entitlements after he returns.

When it comes to FastPass+ selections, you could have a lucky day! On one visit, my husband kept refreshing his My Disney Experience app on his smartphone, and he was able to score two FastPass+ selections for Flight of Passage. This is after I tried for weeks before our trip to reserve anything inside Pandora-World of Avatar!

My friend Ashley does a great job of explaining how this service works with our littlest Mouseketeers, if you need a bit more information.
