About Me

To sum myself up in a few words, I’m a wife, mom, fashionista, Disney fanatic, and football fan. My youngest son is autistic, so I love helping people discover Disney through the eyes of a special needs family as there are so many magical moments just waiting to happen. I am a blogger and writer by day, and I love creating DisneyBound style fashions at night. My mantra is to never let anyone dull your sparkle!

About My Family

My husband has a very busy and demanding job as an anesthesiologist, so when he has time off, we are usually planning our next trip to Disneyland or Walt Disney World with our three boys ages 15, 10 and 6. Since our youngest is autistic, we plan activities some typical families might not think about when we visit the Disney Parks. We’ve been going to both Walt Disney World and Disneyland every year for the past four years as a family and enjoy every minute of it! Having such a wide age range in kids can pose its challenges, but I love how once we set foot on any Disney property, they put aside their differences and simply enjoy time together as a family.

About My Disney Experience

Growing up in California, my parents would take me to Disneyland every year for my birthday and I just loved buzzing around from Dumbo to the Mad Tea Party to It’s a Small World and back. To this day, seeing Sleeping Beauty’s castle at the end of Main Street still takes my breath away. Now that I’m a mom myself, I love sharing my love for Disneyland with my boys, although we’ve added a healthy dose of Walt Disney World vacations to our mix, as well. No matter which park we are in, it’s a truly magical experience. Disney also won me over by making planning for the special needs aspect of our family a breeze. Food allergies, sensory issues and needing a wheelchair at times are made into such a smooth and easy process that you almost forget about all of the things your child cannot do and instead see all of the potential of what they can do. Disney will forever be in our hearts because of this!
