About Me

I am a work-from-home mother of four children, ages 9 to 18. When I'm not managing my consulting business or volunteering in my hometown, you'll find me planning my next Disney vacation! As a former cookbook editor, I am all about the dining at Walt Disney World and at last count, had enjoyed more than 70 restaurants. I've run three runDisney races, including two half-marathons. But my greatest feat so far is surviving breast cancer. I returned to the Disney Parks Moms Panel after a hiatus for my recovery with a renewed passion for the importance of making memories with my family. I know of no other place that can provide that backdrop like Walt Disney World Resort.

About My Family

My husband and I met in college and have been married for nearly 20 years. One of our goals when we got married was to travel. With a daughter and three sons now, plus two busy careers, our house is filled with activity from sun-up to sundown; however, we are intentional with our family time. As our children grow older and travel with them has to become more planned to accommodate school, sports, church and the flurry of that extracurricular life, excursions revolve around "memory makers" and building a strong family through fun and memorable experiences together. Disney has made that possible.

About My Disney Experience

Until 10 years ago, my only experience was a few day trips to Epcot. My first trip to the Magic Kingdom – and with family – was as an adult when my employer held a convention on property. I took the opportunity to add a few days to my stay and brought my family along. We were hooked! Since then, I've been to Disney with grandparents, business associates, just my hubby, just my girlfriends, just the three older children (who knew you could cover so much ground without a stroller?!), JUST ME, over Spring Break, Easter weekend, at Halloween and for Christmas with a family reunion of 19 – most trips planned by me. You'd think I would have experienced it all ... until we purchased an RV. We now consider Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground our "second home" and take just as many trips to enjoy all of the activities outside of the parks as those in the parks.
