Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- Hi Kristen,
Trying to decide what type of accommodations I need for an upcoming trip to Aulani. How big is the pull-down bed in the one bedroom villas? Do you happen to know if it is a traditional twin size? Would a 5'7" tween sleep comfortably

- Hello again Jill! You seemed to have asked me the "million dollar question" this time! Finding out the exact size of the pull-down bunk-size bed, as it is referred to, has not been an easy task. First, I contacted Aulani-A Disney Resort & Spa, and asked if it was the same size as a twin bed. I was told it is "slightly smaller but basically the same". Not being satisfied with that answer, I proceeded to search for trip reports on the web with guests who had slept on this bed. From what I read, several reports say that it would be suitable for a child or teen up to 5'10" tall. One lady stated that her husband, who is 6', laid on it and declared it to be very comfortable, but his feet were just hanging over the end. So, after reading all of this, I feel comfortable saying that your 5'7" tween should be just fine sleeping on the murphy bed.
Hope this helps you in choosing your accommodations at Aulani - A Disney Resort & Spa. I am thrilled to be helping you plan this vacation at this most magical place, and I know you will love it!
