- Hi Paula,
The Wilderness Lodge is by far one of my favorite Disney resorts. It is so peaceful and relaxing. I love sitting in the lobby by the fire. In the evenings, it is wonderful to sit in the rocking chairs outside on the back patio. As far as room location, I would request to be away from the pool areas, as those can tend to get a little loud. Additionally, I recommend calling the Wilderness Lodge directly 9 days prior to your arrival and asking to speak with the room assigner. If you explain your situation to them and request that they find a wonderful room away from the noise, they can note that for you. Upon check-in, double check with the front desk to ensure that they have found a nice quiet location for you.
I am sorry to hear about your personal losses and I hope that you find some peace and healing at Disney World. Honestly, there is something so very magical about it. There have been multiple occasions that I have found the Pixie Dust at Disney to have a healing property. I hope it touches your heart and brings sunshine and happiness to your life.
Best wishes for a rejuvenating vacation,
