Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • Are camera monopods allowed in the Disney Parks?
  • - Asked by scott on 1/20/2013
  • Hi Scott!

I have great news for you!  Yes, monopods are allowed in Walt Disney World.  One of my favorite things is to bring a tripod or a monopod and take night photos and photos of fireworks in the Theme Parks of Walt Disney World!  A monopod can also help you take more stable video too.  Keep in mind that a good rule of thumb is to set your monopod or tripod up to use it and then collapse it as soon as you are finished taking photos or videos.  I often rent a locker to store my tripod or monopod when I am not using it because it is difficult to carry them on rides.  Also my camera bag has a tripod/monopod holder.  I have taken my tripod on rides with it attached to my camera bag, but it tends to be bulky and hard to manage so that is why I recommend renting a locker.

I hope that you capture many photo or video memories on your next Walt Disney World vacation!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
    Marc
