Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • I will be staying at Pop Century with a 4 day Disney pass, February 24, will the MagicBand be available?
  • - Asked by Susan from New Brunswick on 1/17/2013
  • Hi Susan!
Congratulations your Walt Disney World vacation is just around the corner!  The new Magic Bands are apart of Disney's innovative MyMagic+, which also consist of an app and website for guests to customize their vacation.  Guests will soon be able to reserve times for their favorite rides and shows, make dining reservations and lots of exciting opportunities that can be changed at a moments notice if the need should arise.  The new technology of MagicBands uses RFID technology so there is no longer a need for park tickets, Fastpass tickets, hotel keys, Photopass cards, or even credit cards.  Everything that you need will be linked to the colorful band on your wrist.  The best part is you can customize certain aspects of information that is contained on the band.  Not ready to let your children loose with your credit card information attached to them?  I wouldn't be either, this is all part of the customization and Disney's ever striving goal of giving each guest the most personalized vacation experience.
Disney is still testing this new technology and there has been no timeline given yet when guests will start wearing the MagicBands.   Keep on eye on Disney Park's Blog, information is updated often as this amazing new technology will become available for guests.  Thanks for visiting us here at The Mom's Panel and, remember, we are always thrilled to help answer your questions.

    Have a Magical Vacation!
