Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- I am planning my family's first Disney vacation. My children range from 13 down to 5. We will be in Orlando for 8 days. How many days do I need at each Disney Park?

- Hello, Eileen!
You have posed a great question because the parks really do vary with regard to time needed at each one.
You'll want to visit each park more than once, but with 8 days, you certainly have the luxury to do so. For Magic Kingdom, you'll want multiple rides on some favorite attractions, character dining, the Main Street Electrical Parade and Wishes. If you have Park Hopper passes, you can visit one park one morning, then another later that day or evening, if a full day / night isn't what you're looking for.
For EPCOT, I recommend at least two days as well. Future World has LOTS of great rides as well as excellent interactive games for the kids; you could easily spend most of the day there. In the countries, you'll want several hours, at least, to explore all of the hidden gems tucked in each little corner of the world.
Regarding Disney's Hollywood Studios, you can see most of what you want to explore here in one full day. However, plan this visit for one of the days on which they offer Fantasmic! A truly stunning outdoor, nighttime show, it is only offered on certain nights a week, depending on the time of year. Here's a link to the Entertainment offerings at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Glance over the list to see which of these--if not all--will be a "must see" for your party.
Finally, Disney's Animal Kingdom is a spectacular park which you can conquer in a day. If you're up early, grab your complimentary Fastpasses for Expedition Everest, then head straight to Kilimanjaro Safari. By the time the park closes, you'll have seen it all!
Please come back and ask additional questions at any time! I'd love to help ensure that your first visit is the most magical it can be!
