Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- Has anyone ever traveled with a 9 month old baby or around that age group? And does anyone have any tips on how to make the trip a success with our infant. Our daughter will be 6 and we are wondering how the trip will be with an infant and older child?

- Hi Melissa!
I have been to Disney when my son was 7 months (we were by ourselves) and then with my 9 month old daughter and her 3 year old cousin. The last time we went my kids were 2 and 5.
It won't be as hard as you think! Your 9 month old will be old enough to love all the parades, shows, slow rides and more. Your 6 year old will still be young enough to not go on all the scary rides. So you'll have a nice medium!
If you are traveling with your husband or other adult, you can also use the Rider Swap. I've attached a video so you can see how it works--but basically you and your 6 year old would ride while your husband and 9 month old wait close by. As soon as you get off the ride, your husband can go w/your 6 year old (again!) while you wait with your 9 month old! (Sometimes they use FastPasses to make this happen, too.) It's awesome!
I'd make sure you visit the Baby Care Centers as there are private nursing rooms, changing tables, etc AND books and a TV for your older one while you take care of your infant.
I hope that helps!
