Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • Got an email that question was answered but for the life of me I can't find the answer so asking again. What is the best way to keep your KTTW card secure? Do you use a lanyard? How do you handle the kids' cards? What do the experts recommend?

  • Hi Christine!

I'm sorry you're unable to find your answer!  Hopefully this one will make it through to you!

For our family, my husband keeps his Key to the World (KTTW) card and the kids' cards.  I keep my own KTTW card on hand so that I can buy something if need be.  We only get charging privileges tied to MY KTTW card and my husband's KTTW card, so we don't have to worry about the kids getting lost with charging privileges on it.

If you (or someone else in your party) loses their KTTW card, head to Guest Services as quickly as possible so that they can take care of re-issuing you a card.  It is also a good idea to carry your Drivers' License or photo ID with you in case of a lost card.

We don't use lanyards because we have small children that are carried and like to play with necklaces, etc.  I generally just put my card, photo ID, and Photpass securely in my pocket.  I also keep my phone on me as well.

Many people swear by fanny packs, money pouches or money belts, but for us it's just one more thing to keep track of--but if it makes YOU feel more comfortable, then by all means...do it!

Thanks again for stopping by and have a MAGICAL vacation!
    Amanda
