Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • I have 2 boys, 4 & 5. Looking for some BOY themed things, Whats a good area, they love Power Rangers& Dinos. Will we be able to swim the first week in Oct? Which Character meals would you recommed for boys?

  • Hi Carmen,

I answered a similar question this summer (the boys' ages were older), and many of the same suggestions would be enjoyable for your sons.

With the love of Power Rangers, you will want to make sure and grab an Attraction Guide at Disney's Hollywood Studios since the Power Rangers often make appearances.  The Guide will indicate what times they will be available.  Also at the Studios, some must see for boys are the new Toy Story Mania ride; Lights, Motor, Action! Extreme Stunt Show; Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular, and possibly Star Tours (40" height requirement).  They may also enjoy Playhouse Disney -- Live on Stage!

With a love of Dinosaurs, Disney's Animal Kingdom actually has an area Dinoland U.S.A., a sort of campy carnival area and dig site.  While the rides Dinosaur and Primeval Whirl are probably too intense for your little ones, they will most likely enjoy the other offerings.  Also, at Epcot Universe of Energy features non-scary dinosaurs.

Yes, we always swim when we have October visits!

My sons love any character meal that doesn't have a princess within 10 feet:  Chef Mickey's, Crystal Palace, Garden Grill, Hollywood & Vine, Tusker House, 'Ohana, and Cape May Cafe.  Two additional restaurants they LOVE are Whispering Canyon Cafe and Sci-Fi Drive-In.

I'm limited on space, so I apologize for the list.
